Ro can be a real talker but whenever I pull the phone out to capture it on video he clams up.

I did manage to catch some cute smiles this last time though.

2 Month Appointment

I forgot (again) to post this on time.  On February 12th Ro had his 2 month well baby visit.

He weighed 13lbs 2 oz (71st percentile) and was 23.75 inches long (60th percentile).

His umbilical hernia is closing up great.

He got his first round of vaccines...it did not go well.  At all.

Molly would cry when they poked her and then pretty much calm as soon as soon as I picked her up.  Ronan on the other hand, screamed like a banshee.  Hysterical high pitched screams and it took me forever to calm him down.

So I'm NOT looking forward to doing that again in 2 months.

Little Big Guy traded up from 3 month clothes this week.  6 months are a little roomy but better that trying to squeeze.

Not associated with these pictures but during a different tummy time on Saturday (1/30) Ronan decided to roll over for the first time...

There was obviously no intention behind it and he hasn't realized the value in the ability to "roll away from danger" (aka Molly) but I feel nervous that he can physically do this already because I worry that means he will be mobile more quickly than I had planned.

Apparently he is not a planner like Mol and I.

Ronan's "Purple"

So, ya know how Molly has Purple?

Purple Baby?

Well she does and she loves her and she decided that Ronan needed his own Purple.  We agreed that his Purple shouldn't look like Molly's and so we picked out this cutie little guy.

After some discussions (arguments), we've agreed that he should be named Foxy (because he's dressed like a fox) instead of Purple.

We are still discussing (arguing) about whether Foxy is a boy or a girl.  Molly says girl and refuses to use anything other than "she" or "her" in regards to Foxy.  I say that Ronan might like his buddy to be a boy and at the very least we need to wait until he can pick whether Foxy is a boy or girl.

Heated debates continue and I'll let you know the verdict when Ronan reaches the age where he is able to assign a gender to his baby doll.  What a milestone to look forward to.
