Long story short, he was unable to "catch" the rainbows on the floor. Despite Molly's repeated attempts to explain bending light through the front door windows.
"I already told him why it's on the ground but he won't LISTEN to me."
So this is not really "news" but Ronan is walking and I realized I don't think I ever really posted any videos of it happening.
Now, he's so much better than his shows so I'll have to take another one to show an update.
Funnily enough, I put him in shoes today because, ya know, walking and stuff. It didn't go great. He had a similar reaction to Molly but with more rage and less sadness. It was as if I strapped two tiny anvils to end of his legs.
This isn't the best picture of him or the tongue thing he's been doing but I had to document it.
His default face is this little curly tongue out the side of his mouth. Like he's really focused and working on hard something. Except he's not. He's just being a baby all the time. Zero focus. Zero work.
I decided in December to start letting Ronan try to feed himself yogurt with a spoon.
Ryan thinks this is the stupidest thing I've ever done. Ro, of course, flings food father and with more joy whenever Ryan is around just to take Dada's side.
I won't lie. It's not pretty.
But Ryan is missing the point. While he is flinging yogurt into all kinds of special nooks and crannies of his body and our breakfast room, I get to eat breakfast.
I get to eat breakfast. And sometimes, it is still warm.
So I said I was going to do less posts but turns out I have a lot of content up in here that never got posted.
So I've got a series of "bonus posts" coming. I don't want you getting too comfortable with the quantity of posts given my previous announcement on what to expect.
Every time you see "bonus post" just think "these won't last forever, let's be grateful for them now and prepare to not complain later."
And without further ado...
This is a double whammy because I cannot recall (or find) if I posted this way back in the day. The day of August 2016. But it's so cute that even if you have seen it, you can watch it again. And like it a lot.
But just to ensure my first bonus post isn't a sham, here is another one from September that I don't think I posted.
So I should have just put them in their Christmas jammers and taken the real Christmas pictures instead of practicing. The practice worked so much better.
But it didn't last long.
Ronan defies gravity.
But it turns out physics wins.
Here is the Captain of Climbing.
Good thing big sister can help.
Then, once I started taking pictures, I had a hard time stopping.
