We apparently talk about Captain Underpants a little too much as Ronan is trying to say "Tra la la!"
But in real word terms, I'm calling his first word "icky". It is more of a singular crunchy sound. But he uses it at all the appropriate times....of which there are many.
He has also been trying to say shoes ("shhh"), book ("uk"), and hot ("ot" followed by a blow).
No true signs of a mama or dada. Except for the other night at dinner when I said, "Ronan, I don't understand why you don't say Mama, I know you can make those sounds!" To which he replied "Mama". And not again since. Punk.
He also signs more", "please", and "thank you". We're working on "sorry" and "food" next cuz wow do we need those two.
